First, I'm wondering why I'm making this post. I know it won't make any difference. Second, if you don't like what I'm saying, by all means, unfriend me. I've become a bit of a strange beast, I don't bear grudges. So, if, by some remote chance, we meet I won't bear you any animus, if you unfriend me.
I had no idea that the Brexit campaign was so vicious, on both sides. At this point I want to make an apology to Anthony Burrows. I made a glib and crass remark and I'm sorry.
Now, what the fuck am I rambling about ? One friend stated that “the decision has been made, it's done and dusted, stop talking about it”. The decision has been made but the resulting fallout is going to have consequences for decades to come. Another friend said “we have to protect what our forbears have left us”(actually they said forefathers but I prefer to be gender neutral). Dead wrong, we have to pass on a better future to our children. I think you have voted for a very dark future. You voted on principle, with emotion, not with logic.
Let me tell you the story of two shops. One in Spain, selling British goods, owned by a Brit. The owner is worried about the effect of Brexit on whether or not, the admittedly majority decision, will affect their business. The second shop is in Peterborough. A delicatessen,Polish owned, and blamed for the closure of a bakery, next door but one. The closed bakery had been in business for 136 years. One, Peterborough resident, commented that “this country had gone too far”. A quick Google search shows that the Polish population is a little over 11%, let's say 12%. The population of Peterborough, 116,570. So, 12% of the population kept one business viable but 88% of the population couldn't keep the other business viable. Who's to blame for this ? The minority or the majority ?All those foreigners taking your jobs. The present UK employment rate is the lowest in my lifetime ( Google it). How can that be explained ?
I live in Japan and many of the country's woes are blamed on foreigners. I've been verbally abused on several occasions, physically abused on 3 occasions ( I actually got pushed out of a bank, in Tokyo, by the bank manager, priceless). I can look after myself, at the moment, so, I don't worry. Of course, the main verbal abuse, is simply, “go home”. My response has been, for a long time, “actually I want to go home”. The Brexit vote has made that wish virtually impossible. Which is the reason this post is all over the place, I'm livid. I realise it's your prerogative on how you voted, however ill-informed, but you have, effectually, voted me out of my home (still, I'm mature enough to respect your decision). You cannot believe how much I hope I'm wrong but I looked through the Brexit believers posts. I stated why Brexit would be bad and that's why my posts are so long. What were your statements ? “I think we'll be OK” “Keep Britain British”. I've already made a post about the most popular Google searches, after the vote, no need to re-iterate.
The fact that I'm able to make this post is a testament to how I've learnt to control my temper. I know,if you've read this far, you're, almost certainly, angry with me . I understand but I'm equally as angry with you. I've been civil if you could be equally civil, I'd be grateful. The dog is demanding a kong so I have to go !!

Brexit 1

In a few hours you are going to make, probably, the biggest decision of your life. I beg you don't vote emotionally, a visceral vote won't help. Voting out is akin to the analogy of the unpopular boy, who has a football, but no-one wants to play with him, but everyone wants the ball, so being mardy (this word is in the dictionary but is only in the common vernacular of the Midlands and the North, please explain to our Southern friends) he takes the ball home. Now, this argument is common to both sides of the “in” and“out” argument. The U.K could “take the ball” away or The E.U could “take the ball” away. If we leave we will have no allies, apart from Vladimir Putin ( he is not going to help the U.K) Britain will be cast into a political and economic wilder-land. If the E.U “takes the ball away” woe betide, the French are dying to “put the boot in”, the Germans have, at present, said they want no animosity. If Brexit threatens to unravel the E.U the gloves will come off. I know,

A German's view

"A German's View" by Dr. Emanuel Tanay-Fiction! Summary of the eRumor: This is a forwarded article alleged to have been written by Dr. Emanuel Tanay called "A German's View on Islam." The Truth: Dr. Emanuel Tanay is real and a holocaust survivor but he did not write this article, nor is he German. This is an opinion piece that appeared on the blog of Paul Marek, on February 21 2006, under the title of "Why the Peaceful Majority is Irrelevant." The article was picked up by the Israel National News and appeared the publication in March 2007. Click here for the article. Dr. Emanuel Tanay, the son of Jewish dentists, was born in Russian occupied Vilna in 1928, which is now part of Lithuania, according to the personal account of his life in a Polish ghetto during the Holocaust Marek's article was apparently altered and posted on several reader and comment boards on the World Wide Web. Some altered versions include Marek as the author and cite
